Literature Text

Everything is muted
like its coated in shame,
resorting to whispers
forgetting their name.

Like a dimmed down awareness
just as you wake
not knowing whats real
and what is fake.

I try to describe it
but the words hide away,
bleeding right into
this desolate grey.
Colors are a filter we see the world through, they add a level of perception and description. We even find beauty in the colors themselves.  What would we deem beautiful without color? How would we differentiate one thing from the next? How would we perceive depths like a person's eyes or textures like skin and hair and the blended colored areas like trees and forests? I personally love charcoal and shaded images but perhaps that is in contrast to always seeing colors.

Feel free to critique.
